Today Microsoft is announcing the immediate global availability of Azure ExpressRoutesupport for Dynamics 365 for Operations deployments on Microsoft Azure. ExpressRoute lets customers connect their on-premises infrastructure to Azure data centers using a dedicated, private connection that’s highly available, highly reliable, and with a low latency that is supported with a published 99.95% financially-backed SLA.

Connecting business applications to cloud services over the public Internet is a key customer concern both from a privacy and security perspective. Additionally, there are concerns about issues with inconsistent connectivity, local infrastructure, or high latency, the latter especially in emerging global markets, and support for Azure ExpressRoute can help address these concerns.

Once configured, in addition to connecting to Dynamics 365 for Operations, customers can connect to a variety of applications such as Office 365 as well as supported Azure services including virtual machines and cloud services deployed in virtual networks, Azure Websites, Azure Active Directory, Key Vault, Visual Studio Team Services, the IoT Hub, and the Cortana Intelligence Suite.
